    I ordered 9mm Norma and it arrived as expected in a week. Although their initial auto-email conformation was worded poorly and misleadingly, the order came out OK. It pays to be patient with them because their communication messages are not very assuring. The package was well done and wrapped in “Tamper Detection” tape, which is god for preventing shipping breaches. If simply measured by my shipment results they deserve a good rating.

    I am starting to get concerned about a pending purchase I made online of in stock ammo. Tomorrow will be two full weeks since the order was placed. Yes I know that there was a holiday and Black Friday involved but it has been years since shipping of any in stock order has taken weeks to be shipped (not received).     I have a S&W M&P 9L, I put about 100-200 rounds through every time I go to the range. I have never had any issues with this ammo. No eject issues, no hang fires. Surprisingly every time I get home from the range and start cleaning the weapon is very clean… I’ve heard reviews of “dirty” ammo, but I have not seen this in 2000+ rounds. I will continue to purchase these for target practice.

    The first time I ordered through NS it was shipped the next day and I received all the ammo. The last couple of orders have went into a hold for three or four days before being confirmed for shipping. On my order from the 11th I am still missing 5 boxes of .308 and 10 boxes of .556. Make sure to verify your order. The last two orders i made sat on hold for three days so hoping it all ships out and I still receive the other ammo that is missing. Maybe they just bit off more than they can chew with the Black Friday deals and can’t process the orders quickly. But they say all ammo for sale is in stock so Still hoping the rest of my ammo shows up soon.

    These steel; cased rounds are super hard to load, even with a speed loaded. They literally stick inside the magazines. Because of this, I had all kinds of problems with these feeding. Many times the spring would get stuck and stay fully compressed, making the magazine unusable. I also had tons of failures to eject, in every one of my guns (from pistols to my MPX). These are cheap for a reason. I wouldn’t trust my life to these.

    Just be careful when ordering, read what ever description they have. Bait and switch. Order Not Shipped 1 Month After Placing It *Updated* I placed an order on 20 Aug understanding that Steel City had increased their lead times to 10 business days (info from their website). Only problem is it is now 20 Sep and I still have not received my order. Between then and now I’ve attempted to contact them through email, phone, and text but received no response at all. Order status says “Processing” on their website. If they’re still waiting on a shipment of ammo to be able to fulfill my order, then cool, I get it. Unfortunately I can’t actually get any update because it’s impossible to get in contact with anyone over there. If they ever do contact me I’ll try and update this review but right now I’m contemplating if I should call my bank and claim fraud for the charge on this order. *Update: I was finally able get in contact with the company via Facebook and they shipped out my order the next business day. It arrived 3 days later. Apparently there was a safety recall of the ammo I originally ordered (ZSR) so they substituted a different brand (Wolf) with my approval. Upgrading to 4 stars since they took care of me, but can’t swing 5 due to the difficulty in getting in contact with the company.

    Shot a 100 rounds of the 9 mm through my Walther PPQ at a nearby range. Had very inconsistent results. Switched back to my usual Federal ammo and instantly went back to normal. Even had the range officer shoot a clip full and he agreed the Tula wasn’t very good ammo through the Walther. Cheap doesn’t make good.

    Purchased a new Winchester Model 70 from a vendor, had my FFL contact them for shipping info, etc. I emailed them 3 times over the next 10 days with no response. On day 11, I received an email that they were crediting my card back and cancelling the order because they didn’t have the gun. Not necessarily your fault, but I’m assuming this isn’t the first time this happened.

    The price was good but the boxes were pretty smashed and 1 had opened up. The ammo was pretty rough too. There are deformations on the tips of the 5.56 rounds and heavy machine marks on the brass where the primer was inserted

Shortly thereafter I received a tracking number. Upon receiving my ammo the picture showed in a wooden crate and sealed metal can inside. I received a beaten up box that was highly taped. Opened the box and all of the boxes inside were crushed, broken, and ammo everywhere. When I inquired about the bait and switch I was told I paid for the ammo not the crate, or metal box.

    This is good quality range ammo. It’s cheap and it works well. I have run about 600 of the 1,000 rounds I bought through a new Sig P238. I haven’t had a single misfire, jam or slow ignition. This is good stuff. I use it in my 9mm and 45 too for range shooting. I use Hornady Critical Duty for my home protection ammo, but for shooting for fun, this is good to go.

    It would have been 5 stars, however the picture showed the IWI Jericho with finger grooved grip. I contacted black smith armory or something like that to ensure it had this specific grip and they were very unhelpful. So I read the instructions about a poly grip and figured the picture must be accurate. I picked up my gun today, but guess what different grip. Unhappy with the grip, but too excited to complain the truth ffl, plus it was not his fault so I just picked it up with a smile. Sure would love my finger grooved grip.

    I tried them once and got hooked right away. I can can get all the calibers I use in what ever amount I need, all in one convenient stop. Very quick shipments means you never run out. I will continue to buy from them again and again. I just wished they had better deals on .22 and .22 magnums.
    They also keep you informed of new specials with email alerts, very handy. It beats the hit and miss at the store and all the searching involved, also getting ripped at the gun store that I have been going to loyalty smacks of opportunism. I will not forget about them or others that practice this when things hopefully turn around. Great experience all around.
