    The price was good but the boxes were pretty smashed and 1 had opened up. The ammo was pretty rough too. There are deformations on the tips of the 5.56 rounds and heavy machine marks on the brass where the primer was inserted

    I ordered 9mm Norma and it arrived as expected in a week. Although their initial auto-email conformation was worded poorly and misleadingly, the order came out OK. It pays to be patient with them because their communication messages are not very assuring. The package was well done and wrapped in “Tamper Detection” tape, which is god for preventing shipping breaches. If simply measured by my shipment results they deserve a good rating.

Order Not Shipped 1 Month After Placing It *Updated* I placed an order on 20 Aug understanding that Steel City had increased their lead times to 10 business days (info from their website). Only problem is it is now 20 Sep and I still have not received my order. Between then and now I’ve attempted to contact them through email, phone, and text but received no response at all. Order status says “Processing” on their website. If they’re still waiting on a shipment of ammo to be able to fulfill my order, then cool, I get it. Unfortunately I can’t actually get any update because it’s impossible to get in contact with anyone over there. If they ever do contact me I’ll try and update this review but right now I’m contemplating if I should call my bank and claim fraud for the charge on this order. *Update: I was finally able get in contact with the company via Facebook and they shipped out my order the next business day. It arrived 3 days later. Apparently there was a safety recall of the ammo I originally ordered (ZSR) so they substituted a different brand (Wolf) with my approval. Upgrading to 4 stars since they took care of me, but can’t swing 5 due to the difficulty in getting in contact with the company.

    I am starting to get concerned about a pending purchase I made online of in stock ammo. Tomorrow will be two full weeks since the order was placed. Yes I know that there was a holiday and Black Friday involved but it has been years since shipping of any in stock order has taken weeks to be shipped (not received). I will update this post when shipped and received. I really held out hope that this was going to be a smooth transaction.

    It doesn’t matter how expensive shipping is, you have to calculate all together to see what each round cost you. So far I can’t find fmj 9mm cheaper. For now I keep returning to them. It takes 4-5 days to PA. ordered 4 times and received pretty fast .308 9mm

    Not as good as it used to be. The good deals are pretty much gone. The taxes and fees, which are greater than what I pay in tax locally has changed how I look at buying guns online. A lot of prices look good until you figure in shipping, taxes and fees. We didn’t used to have to pay any fees or taxes. Unless it’s something hard to find, I now look and buy locally more often than GB.

    This, for me, is great range ammo. My Ruger American 9mm eats it like candy. My Baretta PX4 Storm likes it just ever so slightly less. No failures of any type, yet, with this brand. I will be buying more!

    Ordered 1000 rds. Have fired 24 mags = no problems. I alternate regular 2 handed target shooting for 3 mags, then quick fire 3 mags one handed. I anticipated some FTEs, but had none. This ammo has become my CC and practice ammo. Normal cleaning required. Very pleased

    Customer for years. Most recent purchase included after the win add-ons and took almost a month. Seller remained in communication; but, the advantages of using GB have started to go down. Ended up paying way more than I bid/won, and when I add in the Dealer fee (FFL) I will probably just start buying directly. Make sure you know that what you bid, and win for, may not be what you pay, by several hundred dollars, as a matter of fact. This was my first less than stellar experience.

    I shot 250 rounds of this ammo through a Glock 19/43 and an AR9 with zero issues. Buy this if you need range ammo, you can’t beat the deal! I will definitely be purchasing more whenever I need plinking ammo.

    I like the site. I look at it often. Although my purchases have significantly decreased. Reasons are the upcharges attached to the order. Often you have greedy vendors that want 3% or more credit card fees and usually that should not include the tax or so I thought. But still. You will find some vendors that take care of thos in their price they are quoting. They are the best ones. I also believe some sanctions need to be put in place to keep some vendors honest. You don’t get to see some of the shipping costs until after the purchase and then it’s too late unless you want to pay a restock fee. I believe that the vendor needs to advertise everything as what it costs unless bidding because then the outcome is unknown. However the site should show the full price of the item with tax and shipping with CC fees if the vultures have any, all in the upfront costs before you even click check out. If you choose to do the money order then make that an option to select and click to show that sale. So many times I felt burned in sales after all said and done paying $25 for shipping on a product that did not even cost that much.

    I bought this ammo because it was the cheapest sale for 1000 rounds since up until recently you couldn’t get 1000 rounds for less than $450-500. Anyways the shipping was quick which is great. I took 150 rounds to the range and I had about 10 that didn’t fire the first time. There were strike marks but no shot. I would reload the bullet and it would go the second time. Not the most efficient use of time but at least I’m getting my moneys worth so buyer beware that you may get some that don’t fire.

    The first time I ordered through NS it was shipped the next day and I received all the ammo. The last couple of orders have went into a hold for three or four days before being confirmed for shipping. On my order from the 11th I am still missing 5 boxes of .308 and 10 boxes of .556. Make sure to verify your order. The last two orders i made sat on hold for three days so hoping it all ships out and I still receive the other ammo that is missing. Maybe they just bit off more than they can chew with the Black Friday deals and can’t process the orders quickly. But they say all ammo for sale is in stock so Still hoping the rest of my ammo shows up soon.

    I haven’t fired 10 thousand rounds of this ammo ,but I’ve fired enough to know that it is reliable ,feeds in different platforms ,and expands reliably. Shot over a chronograph it achieves the advertised velocity. There’s plenty of tests you can watch on YouTube . My own testing has convinced me that this is effective ammo , and it’s my carry ammo. Here’s pics of a round that hit a water jug.

There are only a few manufacturer’s defensive ammunition product lines I will buy and this ammunition is one my short list!     I have consistently found this ammunition to always shoots reliably without any jams or misfires. It is clean shooting whether firing FMJ or JHP on a range. Whether 115 or 124 grain you will not be disappointed. The Sig Sauer name speaks quality. I use 124 grain as my defense load.
