I have owned this and the razor hd scopes and while the razor hd scopes are incredible these are very close for about 500 dollars less. If you are looking for an optic for defense, hunting or LE look no further.March 25, 2022Verified Purchase
Just received this scope & rings today. My first optic, but it matches the quality of my Schmidt& Bender & March scopes. It’s solid & easy to adjust & illuminated, The optics are crystal clear without any distortion or defects. The rings are top quality with built in level. Only downside is no lens covers & the 2 mm wrench was not included, even though Manuel said it was.November 18, 2021Verified Purchase
At the highest setting in daylight you can’t see illumination.
I wish I had returned to Optics Planet in time
Illuminated Reticle is only useful in dim light conditions.
Trijicon has to address the problem of not being able to see illuminated dot in center of reticle during bright daylight.November 8, 2021Verified Purchase
compares in clarity and quality as my $1300 Primary Arms Platinum 1-8. Eye relief and the eye box are very forgiving. I’ve owned the Vortex Razor HD 1-6 and the Vortex Viper PST 1-6 gen ll and the Trijicon Credo (ffp)is placed perfectly at the price point between $800-$900 street price. I’ve been looking for another quality japanese lpvo but didn’t want to spend another $1300-$1400. I’ve read and watched reviews that said the green reticle is Not daylight bright and washes out but the red reticle has definite high noon daylight illumination without question. Btw the Credo 1-6 ffp is not a bdc reticle designated to a specific caliber like the sfp Credo 1-6. That’s a plus imoOctober 22, 2021Verified Purchase
Very clear glass, reticle is a little dim on a bright day but still usable. I would go with FFP over SFP in the future (which Trijicon also makes an option for), other than that I don’t think you can beat this for the price.April 12, 2021Verified Purchase
The scope is great at max x6 to get you on target. I bought the green reticle and it is big and daylight bright at 1x. Its moderately lightweight and much lighter than some competitors. Great value in the mid range of optics.March 3, 2021Verified Purchase
This lpvo is great! I’ll start with the chief complaint, day light brightness. Sure, it could be brighter, but it is plenty bright for daylight use. Unless you’re blind, don’t disregard this optic off the brightness aspect. I will say this, the green reticles (from what I’ve seen) are not bright enough. However, if you’re just looking for a green reticle because it’s that much more tacticool, whatever do you. But consider what lights and colors are easier to detect in daylight vs nighttime without completely distorting your eye and light capacity. The segmented circle is really nice, it creates a solid quick acquisition reticle in 1x, and at 6x it’s not cluttering or getting in the way. The cross hairs are really good at centering your eye. The eye relief seemed really good, however, I’m moving to a high mount to save myself the neck tension and the little bit of eye relief from being able to be slightly more verticle. With a standard mount, set all the way forward, I really have to cant my head down to get sight picture. But the unity mount should fix that, if you’re very tall, I’d consider spending the extra money unless you plan on doing alot of prone shooting. It was very easy to zero, adjustment knobs move easily and smoothly, the caps feel well constructed. I’m not concerned with the optic breaking from fair use. The short throw lever that comes with it is going to take a little getting used to but I like it. It won’t get caught on anything or break off.

I bought this through a different vendor but the SFP red BDC is daylight bright, the glass clarity is very good and it’s a fairly light optic. I know BDC is not what some guys want because they run 77gr out of their 12.5 but for the average person who has a 16in gun and shoots 223 55gr fmj this BDC will allow them to stretch their gun out. PSA had this optic for $150 cheaper.August 6, 2020Verified Purchase
This scope is an amazing scope. For a sub 1k scope, I think it is currently the best on the market for what I want from a LPVO. FYI, I got the FFP Red Segmented Circle. By far the biggest con of this scope is the brightness. It is not near as dim as most scopes on the market, but it is not daylight bright (not red dot bright). It is daylight visible. On max brightness in the middle of the day, you can see the illumination, but it is just not quite bright enough to act as a red dot (The green reticle is no where near as bright as the red. IMO, do not even consider getting the green). The segment circle works really well within 25 yards for quick target acquisition. The fine reticle lines make precision shooting very easy unlike other 1-6,1-8 scopes on the market. I use an offset red dot for up close shooting so it being not quite daylight bright is not a huge issue.
The glass quality is amazing especially given the price. The glass is better than many scopes in the $1250-$2000 price range. Very little distortion around the edges. The eye box and eye relief are really good. Not as good as scopes like the TR24, but way better than the Nightforce NX8.
Because of the included zoom lever nob, you do not need to buy a scope throw lever. There are a few mounting places for it and you screw it into the zoom lever where you would prefer. This allows you to have the throw lever go from the 8 o’clock to the 2 o’clock position. Even with an offset red dot mounted right inlineFebruary 5, 2020Verified Purchase
