The Hornady Handgun Hunter ammunition 10mm Auto is not just a one-trick pony. It’s an adaptable tool that works well in many different circumstances. Our projectile is designed to be as robust and harsh as the terrain and wildlife it targets, and it is made of a durable copper alloy that enables deep penetration and 95% weight retention. Hornady handgun hunter 9mm of proprietary elastomer material to the bullet’s open cavity aids in bullet expansion across a range of velocities.

The elastomer expands and pushes out at impact, causing the bullet to expand more quickly than it would with a conventional hollow tip design. We have combined with our premium cases, primers, and propellants. Hornady Hunter ammunition benefits from years of producing hard-hitting GMX and MonoFlex rifle bullets to introduce a handgun version that lives up to the Hornady reputation.     Just be careful when ordering, read what ever description they have. Bait and switch. Order Not Shipped 1 Month After Placing It *Updated* I placed an order on 20 Aug understanding that Steel City had increased their lead times to 10 business days (info from their website). Only problem is it is now 20 Sep and I still have not received my order. Between then and now I’ve attempted to contact them through email, phone, and text but received no response at all. Order status says “Processing” on their website. If they’re still waiting on a shipment of ammo to be able to fulfill my order, then cool, I get it. Unfortunately I can’t actually get any update because it’s impossible to get in contact with anyone over there. If they ever do contact me I’ll try and update this review but right now I’m contemplating if I should call my bank and claim fraud for the charge on this order. *Update: I was finally able get in contact with the company via Facebook and they shipped out my order the next business day. It arrived 3 days later. Apparently there was a safety recall of the ammo I originally ordered (ZSR) so they substituted a different brand (Wolf) with my approval. Upgrading to 4 stars since they took care of me, but can’t swing 5 due to the difficulty in getting in contact with the company.

    I ordered 9mm Norma and it arrived as expected in a week. Although their initial auto-email conformation was worded poorly and misleadingly, the order came out OK. It pays to be patient with them because their communication messages are not very assuring. The package was well done and wrapped in “Tamper Detection” tape, which is god for preventing shipping breaches. If simply measured by my shipment results they deserve a good rating.

    I am starting to get concerned about a pending purchase I made online of in stock ammo. Tomorrow will be two full weeks since the order was placed. Yes I know that there was a holiday and Black Friday involved but it has been years since shipping of any in stock order has taken weeks to be shipped (not received). I will update this post when shipped and received. I really held out hope that this was going to be a smooth transaction.

    Ammo prices were decent, plus free shipping. Ordered knowing they said it would take 10 days to ship. It was 3 weeks and I emailed them and received a reply that ammo was being shipped. Shortly thereafter I received a tracking number. Upon receiving my ammo the picture showed in a wooden crate and sealed metal can inside. I received a beaten up box that was highly taped. Opened the box and all of the boxes inside were crushed, broken, and ammo everywhere. When I inquired about the bait and switch I was told I paid for the ammo not the crate, or metal box.

    Not Bad
    Figured i’d review this since no one has yet. I did a ballistic test with this ammo with my standard test of a denim covered pack of bologna followed by 1/4″ MDF and water jugs. My average velocity from my Glock 41 with 5.3″ 10mm conversion barrel was 1,371 FPS. The damage was great, I got over 1.5 times bullet expansion of 0.637″, and the bullet stopped in jug 3 which is on par with about 15″ of ballistics gel. So my takeaway is that while this would not be good ammo to stop a bear or to “hunt” with, it was basically outperforming all other defensive 10mm rounds I have tested. So, in my opinion the label of it being “Hunting” ammo isn’t quite right. Very low recoil too, so it’s perfect carry ammo but not good hunting ammo.

    This is a scam. I sent a Venmo payment for my order and the representative claimed they did not receive it. I contacted Venmo and they confirmed that the transaction was completed and the recipient received the funds. When I confronted them about this they claimed the funds were frozen. A venmo representative again confirmed that was not the case. Please do not make the mistake I did and order anything from this bogus company. The address listed on their website is not a valid address either. All around scammers.
