Federal Fusion Ammunition is loaded with a specialized bullet, perfect for deer sized game, that features an electrochemically bonded lead core to copper jacket, eliminating the possibility of a core/jacket separation. The boat tail rifle bullets feature a slight dimple in the nose that delivers exceptional accuracy and devastating terminal performance which delivers an impact that radiates lethal shock throughout the target. This energy is optimized through mass weight retention, a top-secret tip-skiving process and superior bullet integrity. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

    An Excellant Training Round!
I have had confidence in the Federal’s “American Eagle” brand of training ammunition for many years. When practicing with my Colt Detective Special, a revolver with a two (2) inch barrel and chambered in .38 Special, I often use them. The 130 grain, FMJ rounds mimic the recoil pulse and the Point Of Impact (POI) of my regular carry amminution, as any good training ammunition should. “American Eagle” cartridges have a slightly bigger muzzle flash due, no doubt, to the short barrel of my firearm, and burns a bit dirtier but that doesn’t surprize me in a training ammunition. Feeding is aided by the round nose of the bullet and ejection has never been an issue as older “Colts” like mine, have a longer ejection rod, then other manufacturers, but reguardless of make, a single, smart stroke, with the palm of the hand, gets the job done. If possible, I’ll add a photo to show the “Detective Special” and other gear from the last range trip.
Yes, I would recommend to a friend

    Clean and dead on accurate
I normally reload my own, but I needed some factory ammo, for a Permit class. After the class, I was cleaning the gun and it took half the time as usual. This stuff is very clean! Accurate? I ate the X out of the target at the class, and only had a couple of flyers, nothing outside the 8 ring. Next time I need brass, this is what I am going to buy.
