Our introduction of +P 9X18 Makarov ammunition is the result of numerous customer requests. With no high quality +P ammunition available for the millions of Makarov pistols that are now in America, the American 9X18 pistol owner has no viable/effective self defense ammo for use in these high quality pistols, until now.

This new 95gr. JHP+P, 9X18 Mak loading, (Item # 34A) is roughly 200 fps faster than normal ball 95gr. Makarov ammo. This new +P load also features flash suppressed powder as roughly 95% of all civilian shootings in America occur in low light, when the criminal element is active. This ammunition will not blind the shooter in low light situations, which is an important tactical advantage.

This ammo was reliable and quite accurate in our test guns. We noted no accelerated wear from the use of +P loads in our test pistols, although common sense suggests that any +P ammo will wear any pistol at a faster rate than weaker ammo. Please note the below real world velocities from our stock over-the-counter test guns

    I would buy this product again.
    Expensive but excellent product for defensive ammunition. Accurate, reliable and hard hitting. I use this brand in many different calibers. Not for someone who is recoil sensitive. Be sure that you run some practice rounds before loading up to protect yourself.

    I use this product in my Bulgarian Makarov and I have had no issues with this ammo whatsoever. I use this ammuminition exclusively for Self Defense and I would count on this with my life. I know of no problems with this ammo and I am baffled at the reviews that it jams.

    Solution to a Problem
    I use the Buffalo bore 9mm x 18mm hollow point as ammunition while I am carrying it. This ammunition brings the Makarov closer to 9mm Luger ballistics. I ran a box of 20 rounds through the pistol with not a whimper. It’s accurate. I’m pleased.

    I haven’t fired 10 thousand rounds of this ammo ,but I’ve fired enough to know that it is reliable ,feeds in different platforms ,and expands reliably. Shot over a chronograph it achieves the advertised velocity. There’s plenty of tests you can watch on YouTube . My own testing has convinced me that this is effective ammo , and it’s my carry ammo. Here’s pics of a round that hit a water jug.

    Performs well in my Makarov
    Bought this for self defense, so I don’t use it a lot at the range. I did run a few rounds through both of my Makarovs – one an alloy frame Hungarian, and one a steel frame Bulgarian. It fed well and fired flawlessly in both. Accuracy was excellent. It is a very hot load, and I could tell the recoil difference between the alloy and steel frames. I’m satisfied that it is a good SD round. Hopefully I will never need to buy another box, but if I do I will get this again

    This ammunition is as superior a defensive ammo that can be found! It is reliable and consistently dependable every time I test shoot it on the range—no jams or stovepipes! There are only a few manufacturer’s defensive ammunition product lines I will buy and this ammunition is one my short list! And I want to add that they routinely offers this ammunition at the price point that grabs my attention.

    This round is a perfect match for the P320. It’s clean burning propellant makes cleaning this pistol a breeze. The V-Crown bullet is accurate and expands dependably. What more can one ask of a pistol/ammunition mating?

    I have consistently found this ammunition to always shoots reliably without any jams or misfires. It is clean shooting whether firing FMJ or JHP on a range. Whether 115 or 124 grain you will not be disappointed. The Sig Sauer name speaks quality. I use 124 grain as my defense load.
