I’ve tried a few rounds in my Smith and Wesson 686, and as far as accuracy goes, these have been great! With a laser sight I was seeing 1-1/4″ groups at 68 yards. That’s the limit for my naked eye, so I put a scope on it and can consistently get 1.5″ groups at 100 yards. near 150 yards the bullets begin to tumble, but these have easily given me a 100 yard handgun.

very accurate load out of my S&W model 19-6 with a 6 inch barrel. Barnes makes a pretty good product.

After researching ballistic gel penetration tests and trying out several options, I have selected this as my carry ammunition for my Combat Magnum. The gel tests online show that this load has good, reliable expansion and good penetration for 4-inch barrels. My own tests produce good accuracy, no muzzle flash, and reasonable recoil. I am very happy with this choice, and I hope more will become available soon.

Cylinder fired at the range and then carry load. Excellent powder burn with a minimum of stippling; I think these are excellent rounds.
